Heritage mee jian kueh stall at Kampung Admiralty, crispy outside and soft inside since 2009.

YUAN HE Mee Jian Kueh at Kampung Admiralty Hawker Centre is a heritage snack stall that has been serving its distinctive Penang-style mee jian kueh (Chinese pancake) for over a decade. The name 圆和 carries poetic meaning — 圆 for the round pancake shape and the notion of fulfilment, 和 for the act of folding the pancake in half and the ideals of harmony and peace. Founded by the parents of the current operators roughly 10 to 15 years ago, the stall is now run by the second generation, two brothers who stepped in to keep the family legacy alive. What sets their mee jian kueh apart is its texture: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside when served hot, a style said to originate from Penang. The menu offers over 20 fillings at incredibly affordable prices starting from , including classics like peanut, coconut, red bean, and corn, as well as creative combinations such as cheese and chocolate, cheese and ham, and double cheese. The stall also sells chee cheong fun and yam cake. Open from 6am to around 2pm (closed Wednesdays), it is a breakfast and brunch favourite. It suits early risers, traditional snack lovers, and anyone who appreciates a humble hawker treat done right. For a taste of old-school Singapore at honest prices, YUAN HE Mee Jian Kueh delivers. Visit Kampung Admiralty Hawker Centre and bite into a pancake that is crispy, soft, and full of heart.

Food is crispy and piping hot. The service is bad. The old uncle serving is always rude and foul looking every single time. Would love to buy often as snacks but would only buy when old uncle not around.

Was craving for some Mee Jian Kueh and finally got to try it today. I can agree with the reviews that the old uncle manning the counter isn't really interested in helping to run the business - grumpy, can't be bothered to ask customers what they want, gave me a black face when I politely requested for a plastic bag (the pancakes are HOT). Suffice to say I won't be supporting the business anymore. First and last time.

If you prefer the thin, crispy, airy Penang style of mee jian kuay to the chewy sometimes fibrous Singaporean variety, this place is a must. Been visiting this stall from before when they were in Marsiling. Now that they've moved here, the stall owner's son has taken over, with the dad still showing up every now and then. The mee jian kuay is still in my opinion the best you can get in Singapore.

I like the corn and peanut one the most. Affordable and freshly made on spot. They also serve the yam cake with Chee Cheong fan which is very popular. Great breakfast choice there!

Best to be consumed when it is still hot/warm. Crunchy on the side and fluffy in the middle. Cheese + chocolate gives it slightly bitter, sweet and savoury taste all together.
