Home-style Chinese eatery serving comforting family recipes and wholesome dishes, true to its name "Home of Memories."

The Home, or 回味之家, which translates to "Home of Memories," is a Chinese restaurant that lives up to its name by serving the kind of comforting, home-style dishes that evoke the warmth of a family kitchen. The menu centres on familiar Chinese favourites prepared with care and generosity, from braised meats and steamed fish to stir-fried vegetables and hearty soups, each dish reflecting the kind of cooking that grandmothers would approve of. The portions are generous, the flavours are honest, and the cooking avoids unnecessary artifice in favour of genuine taste. The restaurant offers a comfortable dine-in setting that is well-suited to family meals, with round tables and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages sharing and lingering over food. Takeaway and delivery are also available for those who want a taste of home without the cooking. The Home appeals particularly to families seeking a wholesome Chinese meal, older diners who appreciate traditional flavours, and anyone who misses the taste of home-cooked Chinese food. For the warmth and comfort of a proper home-cooked Chinese meal, The Home delivers on the promise in its name. With its family-style dishes and generous spirit, it is a restaurant that truly feels like coming home.

Ordered grandma porridge set. Not knowing what to expect but there were just a few small cubes of tofu, very very small pieces of meat. Tastes pretty good. But the lack of ingredients is truly puzzling. Ate til I saw the bottom of the bowl but still can’t find ingredients LOL Paid $9.90 for the set that comes with a drink and slices of caipo omelette.

Been missing the taste of their fried bee hoon since they moved out of Toa Payoh. The bee hoon soaks up the taste of the shalloty-eggy broth really well and the taste is really one of a kind. It seems simple enough but it's not replicable at home. The black pork ribs had a good balance of sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy. While the vinegar just hits you right in the face when it gets served, the Sichuan peppercorns brings out the sweet-savoury notes of the sauce. The charred parts of the ribs are slightly bitter and this dish really captures all the four tastes. I just wished that the ribs could have been softer, as it was rather chewy and the meat really hard to scrap from the bones. The trio egg spinach soup was just a nice comforting bowl of soup. I just wished it came with more spinach, as it's priced considerably steeper than your usual foodcourt spinach soup stall. The teh o kosong is really too thick and tannic. Check out the colour, it's almost like kopi-o. This new place is kind squeezy, my elbows kept ramming into the wall while I was eating.
