Jian Bo Tiong Bahru Shui Kueh is a legendary Singapore hawker brand that has been perfecting its shui kueh recipe since 1958, earning consistent recognition from the Michelin Guide from 2021 through 2024. The stall is famous for its soft, fluffy steamed rice cakes doused in housemade chilli sauce and topped with chye poh, or preserved radish, which delivers a savoury-sweet punch that balances the mild rice cake perfectly. The original Tiong Bahru Market outlet still draws long queues of locals and tourists, a testament to the enduring appeal of its time-honoured recipe. The menu also includes chee cheong fun and steamed yam cake, offering variety for those who want more than the classic shui kueh. The Admiralty Place outlet at Woodlands Avenue 6 opens from early morning, providing dine-in and takeaway for the heartland community. It is one of several islandwide outlets that have brought the Tiong Bahru original to neighbourhoods across Singapore, making this heritage snack accessible to all. For shui kueh that carries over six decades of tradition and Michelin recognition, Jian Bo at Admiralty Place is a must-try. Soft, savoury, and simply unforgettable.Operating Hours

I've been patronising the original in Tiong Bahru for years and saw this outlet and tried it out. It's nothing like the original even though it may come from the same central kitchen. Somehow the lady was kind enough to give me extra chaipo and chilli so that deserves the extra star.

I bought a zong zi on 17 Nov around 8:30–8:45 PM for $4, and there was a worm at the bottom when I ate it. Really disappointed and concerned about the food hygiene. Hope the shop improves its quality control.
