A family-run hawker legacy since 1989, beloved for affordable, fragrant nasi lemak with traditional sambal.

Gao Ji Shu Shi is a family-run hawker stall that has been serving some of the most beloved nasi lemak in the north since 1989. Founded in Woodlands and now operating from Marsiling Mall, the stall continues to draw long queues for its affordable plates of coconut-infused rice, crispy fried chicken wing, ikan bilis, peanuts, and a rich, fragrant sambal chilli that regulars rave about. Some plates start from as little as .50, a testament to their commitment to value. The stall maintains a simple, no-frills hawker format with a focus on generous portions and consistent quality. Walk-in customers can expect a quick, satisfying meal that has remained largely unchanged for over three decades. The stall is a favourite among Marsiling Mall regulars and continues to attract new fans through word of mouth and social media. Visit Gao Ji Shu Shi for a plate of nasi lemak that carries the weight of genuine hawker heritage. It is a taste of old-school Singapore that remains as relevant and delicious today as it was in 1989.Operating hours not available

Best nasi lemak in marsiling mall. Old school green nasi lemak rice, crispy n juicy fried chicken drumstick & crabstick are delicious! Chilli also good!!

Best nasi lemak at marsiling mall. Better than tian tian which always has a long queue and tian tian is very stingy with rice, chilli and everything. Gao Ji is very generous - just tell them if you want more chilli, no additional charge, unlike tian tian. And their chilli is better too. Their rice is more lemak too and great service. They always cut the drumstick so that it's easy for anyone, old or young, to eat. Did I mention also that they are about 1 dollar cheaper than tian tian? Their sets are all price at 3+ to 4+, whereas Tian tian start from 4.50 onwards. They still kept the very old yellow signboard that reads gao ji out of nostalgia because it has helped fed the family for decades

Very good nasi lemak, even better than that other nasi lemak stall that many queue for. Uncle is very friendly, and they always help to cut up the drumstick, making it easier to eat! Been a regular now!

A group of five people stand in front of a food stall with a yellow sign above. The sign has Chinese characters and the text "02-44**GAO JI SHU SHI". Below this, another sign reads "NASI LEN" with some other text that is partially obscured. The stall appears to be selling food, with various containers and dishes visible behind the people.
Takeaway Food Containers
Multiple white takeaway food containers filled with various meals. The meals appear to include rice, fried chicken, fried eggs, green beans, peanuts, and sambal. Some containers also hold fried noodles and hash browns. The food is arranged neatly within the containers, ready for takeaway.
